A cattle farmer turned serial murderer Ahmad Suradji is from Indonesia. In the late ’80s and early ’90s, he assassinated almost forty women. He performed black magic, worked as a sorcerer, and was also known as Nasib Kelewang.
As part of a rite, he strangled girls and women using a cord and buried them up to their waists in the grave. He went on a murdering spree for 11 years before being arrested in 1997, when remains were found near his house on the outskirts of Medan. He was eventually convicted of execution by firing squad in 2008. His three wives were also found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
