Alexander Pichushkin was dubbed the “Chessboard Killer” and the “Bitsa Park Maniac.” His victims were homeless guys who he enticed to his residence with alcohol. He is suspected of murdering 49 individuals, most of whom he assassinated with several hammer strikes to the head and then putting a vodka bottle into the opening skull wound.

He first stated that he planned to kill 64 people and fulfill the square pattern on a checkerboard. Furthermore, it is thought that he competed with yet another Russian serial murderer, Andrei Chikatilo, who was jailed in 1992 for 53 murders. It was the same year Alexander began killing.
