Relieved but Still Wondering
George was just glad his furry companion wasn’t sick or in any imminent danger despite what was happening. It would have been a different story if he walked into a wild animal or burglar loose inside their humble home! Still, these did not answer any of George’s questions.
For a while there, he even thought Crosby was going deaf since he wouldn’t even look at him after calling his name multiple times. But since the mutt reacted to his presence after a bit, that theory was impossible. One thing’s for sure, Crosby must have seen something extremely important.
